Paige Reveals Nick Khan’s Two Conditions For Her WWE Return

Nick Khan gave Paige two conditions before allowing her WWE return.

Leading up to WrestleMania 42, Nikki Bella faced a race against time to get cleared from her ankle injury and compete for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. However, when the former Divas Champion wasn’t able to get the go ahead for the show, the company brought back Paige to fill in alongside Brie Bella. Now, the 33-year-old has revealed more about how it came together.

Speaking to Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story?, Paige gave the two conditions Nick Khan said she had to meet before her return, including ensuring her neck was cleared and passing a drug test.

“I thought I’d be intimidated by him, but going in there, he’s easy going. He goes, ‘Two things. Your neck has to be okay, and we have to do a drug test.’ I was like, ‘Fair enough. Hey, I can control the drug test. I’m clean as a whistle. I don’t know how my neck’s been. It’s been a few years since I got it checked. The last time I got it checked, it was perfect. I’m not really concerned about it.’”

The Brit’s history with neck damage is long-documented, with it being what ruled her out of in-ring competition during her first run and asked serious questions over her wrestling future. However, having been cleared to return to the squared circle, she joined AEW in 2022, spending three years there before her 2025 departure.
