Bear Bronson Says He Felt ‘Like A Signed Extra’ In AEW

Bear Bronson opens up on his time with All Elite Wrestling.

Following Bear Boulder’s contract termination by All Elite Wrestling on February 7, 2025 after his arrest, The Iron Savages, formerly known as Bear Country, went their separate ways, with Bear Bronson departing AEW a few months later and going on to establish himself on the independent scene and in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Appearing on Busted Open After Dark, Bear Bronson discussed his time with All Elite Wrestling and claimed he felt like a signed extra due to a lack of direction.

“So if I could explain the difference between [AEW & TNA], and I’m not throwing any shade here but when I was with AEW, in all of five years from start to finish, I felt like a signed extra, if that makes sense. Where you’re just kind of there. Whether you’re there or not, it doesn’t really make a big difference. And on the complete other end of the spectrum is with TNA, I actually feel like an important part of the piece moving forward.”

Originally teaming with Bear Boulder as Bear Country, Bear Bronson made his All Elite Wrestling debut in December 2020, with the pair officially signing in May 2021, and later rebranding as The Iron Savages as they made sporadic appearances across AEW and Ring of Honor but struggled to gain momentum.

Bear Bronson is now signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he currently reigns as one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions alongside Brian Myers as members of The System.
