Lizzy Rain Reveals The Origins Of Her WWE Entrance Theme

Lizzy Rain is bringing heavy metal to WWE NXT.
The April 28 edition of WWE NXT saw a number of talents make their WWE debuts, one of whom being Lizzy Rain, formerly known on the independent scene as Rayne Leverkusen. With her presentation and overall vibe centred around heavy metal, Rain has now opened up on how her WWE entrance theme came together.
Speaking with Ropes N’ Riffs, Lizzy Rain revealed that she gravitated towards her new entrance theme because it reminded her of ‘Hot for Teacher’ by Van Halen.
“Being a part of the WWE, we have all our own music in house. So I was sent loads of different songs. I went through them all and as soon as I heard the guitar riff, I said, ‘This sounds like it’s got a vibe of Hot for Teacher.’ And I love that song and I feel like it’s really relatable and lots of people like that song. And then I thought over this guitar riff, one of the creative team said, ‘Why don’t we do like a rock thing over the top of it live? You can say something before you come out.’ I thought, ‘That’s it. That’s gotta be it.’ I’m really happy of my theme song in the WWE. I love it. I love that I get to have a live little promo before I come out. I think it’s really cool and social media love it too, which is all the more better.”

Lizzy Rain’s WWE NXT debut saw her pick up an impressive victory over Nikkita Lyons, with the May 5 edition of NXT later seeing both Rain and Lyons, alongside Zaria, declare that they are coming after Tatum Paxley and the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
After Zaria confronted Robert Stone about wanting a shot at the NXT Women’s North American Championship, the WWE NXT General Manager made a tag team match for next week, pitting Zaria and Nikkita Lyons against Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain.
Beyond Lizzy Rain and the host of other recent WWE debutants, yet another fresh face could soon be heading to the company, as former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi is reportedly expected to join WWE following his departure from New Japan Pro-Wrestling earlier this year. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Lizzy Rain as soon as we hear more.
