Adam Copeland discusses injury time being added to his AEW contract.

To close WrestleDream 2023, fans were stunned to learn that Adam Copeland was ‘All Elite’. Formerly known as Edge, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ is one of the most iconic figures in the industry’s history, with the former WWE Champion now almost three years into his run with AEW. With two TNT Championships to look back on, Copeland has now discussed his current contract status.

Speaking to ClutchPoints, Copeland talked through the time added to his deal through injuries and outside projects, saying in jest that even he isn’t sure when his contract is up.

“I broke my leg, so there’s injury time added, and I had to go film Beekeeper [2] and Percy Jackson, so [that’s] added. Anytime I have to take a break, that gets added on the back end. I’m not even sure when it’s up.”

Copeland got hurt at Double Or Nothing 2024 while attempting a dive from the top of the steel cage. He suffered a fractured tibia which would keep him out for around seven months, returning to confront Jon Moxley at Worlds End that December.

At present, he’s seen alongside Christian Cage, as he and his legendary tag team partner look for AEW gold. Together, they’ll wager their future as a team as they look to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships from FTR this Sunday at Double Or Nothing.

In the interview, Copeland also looked ahead to the official end of his career, revealing he doesn’t care for a big emotional sendoff when his time comes. You can read more on that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Adam Copeland as soon as we hear more.
