Tony Schiavone tips Kyle Fletcher to potentially become AEW’s biggest star.

Having initially come into the company as one-half of Aussie Open, Kyle Fletcher’s career was turned on its head when Mark Davis went out with injury. In October 2024, the Australian aligned with Don Callis and has since been a force in AEW’s singles division, with many thinking he could be a future world champion in the company. Now, Tony Schiavone has tipped him to reach the very top.

Speaking to 3NT Wrestling, Schiavone reflected on Kyle Fletcher’s journey so far, saying he could become AEW’s biggest star.

“To me, the guy that was kind of the underdog, he came in as a tag team wrestler, you didn’t think much of him but I knew was gonna be a big star is Kyle Fletcher. Kyle Fletcher came in as Aussie Open with Mark Davis, a tag team that had wrestled in Japan. He’s from Australia, and now he’s developed into this big singles star under The Don Callis Family. And I think he’s the underdog that eventually can be the biggest star in AEW by far.”

Fletcher is now a former two-time TNT Champion, with his second reign only ending due to a torn meniscus suffered on the March 28 episode of AEW Collision. Initially, it seemed like the 27-year-old was set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but, surprisingly, ‘The Protostar’ made his return at Double Or Nothing, coming back without the need for surgery.

Upon his return, Fletcher looked to be saving Konosuke Takeshita from the rest of the Don Callis Family. However, to the shock of those watching around the world, he attacked his former friend to strengthen his bond with the group. Moving forward, he appears to be eyeing the AEW International Championship.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Kyle Fletcher as soon as we hear more.
