LA Knight Says His Crowd Reactions Aren’t The Same Because He Lacks Trajectory On WWE TV

LA Knight discusses why his crowd reactions aren’t the same.
Back in early 2023, crowds the world over got behind LA Knight. His momentum seemed unwavering, and a large section of WWE’s fanbase were waiting to see whether the company would reward the connection he’d built with the audience through a sustained run at the top of the card. However, years later, the responses to Knight have somewhat died down, with ‘The Megastar’ now opening up on why he thinks the reactions aren’t as big as they once were.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, LA Knight argued that his reactions have decreased because he lacks direction on WWE TV.
“You could argue, yeah, maybe the reactions aren’t quite as big as they were… the reason it’s not as big as it was is because right now I’m just kind of a man without a country, so to speak. I don’t have a set trajectory at this moment. If you look at last year, last summer, when I started, all of a sudden me and Seth [Rollins] were going for the title, and it’s me and The Vision. There it was renewed again. So it’s a matter of just making sure that I’ve got direction, I’ve got somewhere to go, and I’ve got somewhere that people care about, and something that people can sink their teeth into that then takes it up from an 8 up to a 10 and beyond.”

At Money in the Bank 2023, those in the O2 Arena were desperate to see LA Knight unhook the briefcase and guarantee a future world title opportunity. While he did end up facing Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel later that year, it wasn’t until SummerSlam 2024 that he defeated Logan Paul for the United States Championship and won his first singles title on the main roster.
Nowadays, Knight is in an ongoing feud with The Vision having teamed with The Usos to defeat Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and IShowSpeed at WrestleMania 42. Although the match was 46 days ago, the 43-year-old is yet to have a televised match since the ‘Show Of Shows’.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on LA Knight as soon as we hear more.
