The Butcher & The Blade Reportedly Free Agents As Their AEW Deals Expire

The Butcher and The Blade are no longer under contract with All Elite Wrestling.
Andy Williams and Jesse Guilmette, collectively known as The Butcher and The Blade, have been signed to All Elite Wrestling since late 2019. However, it now appears that their tenure with the company may have come to an end.
Fightful Select are now reporting that The Butcher and The Blade have departed All Elite Wrestling following the expiration of their contracts after the company opted not to offer the pair an extension.
“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that The Butcher and The Blade have left All Elite Wrestling. We are told the duo’s contracts were recently up and AEW opted to not offer an extension.”

The Butcher and The Blade are now effectively free agents and are free to perform and sign anywhere they choose following their departure from All Elite Wrestling.
The duo have not teamed on All Elite Wrestling television since January 2024 due to The Blade being sidelined with a spine injury, while Andy Williams’s final AEW appearance came during the February 19, 2025 episode of AEW Collision, where he lost in singles action to Gabe Kidd.
With The Blade having returned to in-ring action earlier this year, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the pair as both he and The Butcher have competed across the independent scene in a singles capacity while also reuniting as a tag team on occasion.
