Chad Gable Names GUNTHER As His Wrestling Soulmate So Far

Chad Gable thinks GUNTHER is his wrestling soulmate so far.
Sometimes in wrestling, a competitor will click with an opponent more than any other. Often called their ‘wrestling soulmate’, certain pairings can share chemistry that elevates their performance to the next level whenever they’re in the ring together. With many fans able to list their favourite in-ring matchups, Chad Gable has now touched on who he thinks is his wrestling soulmate.
Speaking to Maxx Fuller, Chad Gable named GUNTHER as his wrestling soulmate.
“Gunther, so far. From the first match, we could have never talked about anything. We were meant for each other.”
-Chad Gable
Gable and GUNTHER had a memorable program in 2023 when the Austrian was Intercontinental Champion. While the former Olympian wasn’t able to win the gold, the pair shared a trilogy of matches which included Gable’s memorable countout win over ‘The Ring General’ which set up an incredible championship showdown on the September 4, 2023, edition of RAW.
Although Gable still hasn’t won a singles title during his time with WWE, the 40-year-old will walk into his hometown with the opportunity to finally get his hands on the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. The former El Grande Americano will take on Penta having picked up a whirlwind of momentum following his revered mask vs. mask match on May 30.
Speaking of the current Intercontinental Champion, Penta recently praised WWE’s acquisition of AAA for making it easier for Mexican talent to get to WWE. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Chad Gable as soon as we hear more.
