Tony Khan Explains AEW Redemption’s Importance Before All In: London
Tony Khan says AEW Redemption will be a key step towards All In: London.
Initially, All Elite Wrestling’s schedule only had consisted of four pay-per-views: All Out, Full Gear, Revolution, and Double or Nothing. Then, over time, they expanded to add Dynasty, Forbidden Door, WrestleDream, All In, World’s End, and, on Sunday, the premiering AEW Redemption. However, with this being the company’s last stop before All In: London, some fans are already looking ahead to August’s spectacle. Now, it seems AEW head Tony Khan has a lot of faith in the their newest pay-per-view despite its timing.
During the AEW Redemption Media Call, Khan also highlighted the event’s importance as a key stop on the road to AEW All In: London at Wembley Stadium on August 30.
“I think it’s been very additive to have the immediacy of important matches and rivalries going into AEW Redemption. And AEW Redemption is going to be a very important show on the path to AEW All In, and I think when the facts come out after the pay-per-view, this is going to be a tremendous pay-per-view and a very important show to watch on the way to AEW All In: London.”

While vague, Khan’s comments do suggest that AEW Redemption will have major implications for the road ahead. One possibility is further developments in the Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay rivalry, which is currently expected to headline All In: London. However, that match is dependent on “The Cleaner” defeating Kevin Knight this Sunday.
In the women’s division, AEW Redemption will feature a pivotal clash between Willow Nightingale and Thekla, with “The Babe With The Power” looking to secure her spot at Wembley by capturing the gold and earning the right to face Mercedes Moné in London. The event will also feature a six-man ladder match to determine the No.1 Contender for the International Championship, with the winner moving one step closer to a future title opportunity.
There is also the possibility of new arrivals shaking things up before AEW All In: London, particularly with those released by WWE on April 24 now officially free agents.
