Thekla Gives Fan A Unique Autograph At San Diego Comic-Con
Thekla brought her unfiltered personality to her San Diego Comic-Con autograph signing.
When Thekla was first teased as arriving in All Elite Wrestling, fans were intrigued but unsure what to expect from the Austrian wrestler beyond her background in STARDOM. However, once she arrived, she quickly established herself, eventually defeating Kris Statlander to become the AEW Women’s World Champion on Dynamite in February, a title she has held ever since.
Since then, AEW fans have embraced Thekla’s unique personality, particularly her entertaining and often outrageous mic work. That persona was on display at San Diego Comic-Con, with AEW sharing footage of Thekla signing an autograph addressed to a “Dumb B*tch.”
Such a character, wouldn’t you agree?
Once she has finished signing autographs, Thekla’s focus will turn to Montreal, where she will face Willow Nightingale for the Women’s World Championship at AEW Redemption on Sunday, July 26. Willow recently stated that, even if she does not win the title this weekend, she believes she will become world champion one day.
Many fans are hoping Thekla retains, however, with her reign and unique personality making her a standout champion. For some, her run has been too entertaining to see come to an end just yet.
Should she lose, however, Thekla’s run will not necessarily come to an end. Since the build-up to Forbidden Door, she has been targeting her former promotion, STARDOM, promising to “raise hell” within the company. She defeated one of STARDOM’s top stars, Starlight Kid, at Forbidden Door, attacked the promotion’s CEO, Taro Okada, and later brought the full Triangle of Madness to the promotion to capture the Artist of Stardom Championship. As a result, a defeat could allow that storyline to continue, potentially building towards a major culmination at All In: London.
