Tomasso Ciampa: AEW’s Roster Is Better Than Any Ever Assembled In Wrestling History
Tommaso Ciampa thinks AEW has the best roster in history.
Although the company only came into existence in 2019, All Elite Wrestling’s current roster features some of the industry’s biggest current stars. In terms of the main event scene, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, and Will Ospreay currently head up the company on the road to All In: London, while young talent such as Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight offer an insight into where the promotion may be headed in the future. Now, a former TNT Champion has offered huge praise for AEW’s roster.
Speaking on the Countdown to AEW Redemption, Tommaso Ciampa praised AEW for having one of the best rosters ever assembled in wrestling.
“The roster currently in AEW is better than any roster that’s ever been assembled in professional wrestling. So to come here and to look at people like Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega, look at people like Cope and Christian, and Jericho, look at people like Mox and Speedball Mike Bailey, and The Jet, Kyle Fletcher, and the list just goes on and on and on. There was no doubt in my mind that this is the place to go to not only test myself, but to prove to myself that I’m just as damn good as I think I am. Just as damn good as I say I am.”

Tommaso Ciampa has already made a huge impact since joining AEW back in late January of 2026. The 41-year-old is a former TNT Champion having defeated Mark Briscoe in his debut match, and, although he lost the title to Kyle Fletcher on the February 11 Dynamite, has reminded many fans of just how strong his performances can be in the ring.
To that point, he took then AEW World Champion Darby Allin to the limits on April 22, not to mention a huge victory over Chris Jericho at Dynamite’s ‘Beach Break’ episode on July 8. Ciampa will once again get the chance to test his metal against Jericho tonight at AEW Redemption live on pay-per-view when the two rivals do battle in a No Holds Barred match.
