Nikki Bella Reveals Plans To Retire From WWE At The End Of 2027

Nikki Bella has announced her intention to retire at the end of 2027.

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is widely regarded as one of the trailblazers as far as the company’s women’s division is concerned, acting as a predecessor to the four horsewomen and eventual women’s revolution. The 42-year-old has had a distinguished career, becoming a two-time Divas Champion as well as winning Slammy Awards for Diva of the Year in 2013 and 2015. However, it now seems she may only have around 18 months left of competing in the ring.

Speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella revealed she’s planning to have her in-ring career wrapped up by the end of 2027.

“I’m coming close to the end, and I know I’ve talked about this, but I am. And I’m very great with that. Like, year and a half, whatever it is, the end of 2027. I really just want to finish this out exactly how I want it. If I got to break rules, I’m gonna break rules. But I want to end it how I see it so I don’t look back and go, ‘What if?’ Creatively, if I feel a certain way, I want to do it. I don’t want to sit there and go, ‘Oh, but follow the rules and be a good girl.’ I want to challenge myself. I want to fight for myself. I want to stick up for what I believe in, and then I also want to be super impressive. I want to produce great stuff as far as matches, but also creative, and I want to continue to be a part of great changes for women’s wrestling and constantly making women’s wrestling feel important and special. And while I’m doing great things, bringing other people up with me to do great things, because it’s all what it’s all about. I don’t just speak the talk of empowering women. I truly love to empower women, and it’s such a great group right now. Whatever I can give while also being a bad b*tch, I’m all game.”

Nikki recently returned from injury having been sidelined since before WrestleMania 42. In her absence, Paige and Brie Bella became WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, although the pair recently lost the gold to Fatal Influence at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Now she’s back, “The Fearless One” will team with the former champions to take on all three of Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid.

Alongside her in-ring achievements, Nikki had a key role in Total Divas and Total Bellas, a reality TV show that lasted 9 and 6 seasons respectively. The star has always stayed busy with projects outside WWE, and will likely not slow down once her in-ring career is in the books.
