Dominik Mysterio Praises The Undertaker’s Work In AAA Creative Role

Dominik Mysterio isn’t surprised by The Undertaker’s success leading AAA.

In April 2025, AAA was acquired by WWE. The merger has breathed new life into the AAA product under the WWE umbrella, with several stars from both NXT and the main roster appearing for the promotion. Additionally, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has become one of AAA’s leading creative figures since the acquisition, and the promotion’s top champion is a fan of his work so far.

Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio discussed The Undertaker’s work in a creative role for the promotion and claimed he is not surprised by his success.

“Someone that’s very, very highly respected in our business. Done it all, seen it all. So am I surprised that as soon as he was able to get his ideas flowing and get them going that they took off? Absolutely not. Like I said, he’s one of the most respected wrestlers in our business, most decorated. One of the best to ever do it and the fact that he’s there doing his thing is not surprising to anybody”

AAA has taken the spotlight with regular shows airing on FOX in Mexico and streaming on YouTube elsewhere, featuring names such as El Hijo del Vikingo, Mr Iguana, and El Grande Americano. These shows often highlight the high-flying  action of lucha libre, combined with a touch of WWE-style drama and storytelling.

The promotion has provided one of the best storylines and matches of 2026, with El Grande Americano vs. “The Original” El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de Los Grandes on May 30. The match was heated, full of action, and became one of the most talked-about bouts involving WWE all year.

AAA will present its Worlds Collide show at Chicago’s Allstate Arena on September 26, promising another huge night of action. Chicago native and current Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk recently teased his involvement in the event. You can read more about that here.
