Chris Jericho is grateful to have been part of AEW Grand Slam: Mexico.

At Grand Slam: Mexico, Jericho teamed with Darby Allin and Mistico to take on the Don Callis Family. The trio ultimately picked up the victory after Jericho, competing as “Corazon De Leon”, struck Kevin Knight at the right moment to secure the win.

In a special video posted today by the All Elite Wrestling official Twitter account, Jericho reflected on what it was like to return to the ‘Cathedral of Lucha Libre’. The appearance marked the first time he had competed in the iconic venue for AEW, making his thoughts on the return the focus of the video.

You can hear the passion in Jericho’s voice as he discusses his past and present in wrestling, even taking the time to honour the location itself by noting that it hasn’t changed after all these years. The reception to Grand Slam: Mexico was equally positive online, with fans and critics praising the near-three-hour show as one of AEW Dynamite’s best ever, with some even suggesting it could be the “show of the year” on television.

Jericho is getting ready for his first title match since his return, as he’ll face Kevin Knight for the TNT Title on Dynamite tomorrow as part of another stacked card.
