The Rock Says He Wants To Explore A Music Career

The Rock wants to continue to explore his voice in the world of music.

Dwayne Johnson has done just about everything there is to do in his career. From his short-lived football career in the CFL to making his start in the world of pro wrestling, nothing has stopped The Rock from doing something that his mind is destined on, even when many had their doubts over his move into the movie industry, he would go on to huge success while still making time for the millions watching all over the world when he would make his return back to the squared circle from time to time in the last 14 years.

In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, Johnson spoke about growing up and actually wanting to become a country music star, but, with sports and pro wrestling in his future, he put those dreams to the side. Now, Johnson is exploring the music industry and wants to see how he could make an impact in the world of country, specifically traditional country that he is looking to make his first steps in for his music career.

“I’m exploring that now, and I appreciate you asking that. As you roll along in life, I’ve been real fortunate to be part of some really cool projects, and love it. But music has always been such an anchor for me, and very specifically in genres that I love, like country music, traditional country music. And we’re exploring that now.”

Johnson’s last major appearance for the WWE was when he got physically involved with the heel turn of John Cena, alongside Travis Scott where the trio put a beating on the then-WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber 2025 on the road to that years WrestleMania in Las Vegas.

Since then, he went on to go star in the MMA Biopic on Mark Kerr titled “The Smashing Machine”, while also turning the animated film of Moana into a live action movie. However, both his recent ventures didn’t see the greatest turnout from the box office for “The People’s Champion”.
