WWE Reportedly Expect Zilla Fatu To Be On The Main Roster Before Long

Zilla Fatu reportedly may not be in NXT long.

On this past week’s RAW, fans saw a vignette focusing on Zilla Fatu, despite the star having only made his NXT debut on August 11. The video aimed to hype the upcoming NXT Championship match at Heatwave, though many still found it out of the ordinary for the company to highlight a developmental talent so early on in his run on the brand. Now, more has emerged suggesting Zilla may be on the main roster sooner than expected.

According to an update from WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, it’s believed Zilla Fatu will be on the main roster before long.

“It’s expected internally that Zilla Fatu will be on the WWE main roster before long. Those within the company believe that pairing him with his cousins this early in his WWE run could set the stage for the long term.”

The report notes that the video on RAW served as a “soft introduction” to help main roster fans become familiar with the Anoa’i family member. Zilla, who is the son of the late Umaga, will feature in an NXT Championship match at Heatwave this Sunday, but it seems as if he could join his cousins The Usos on Monday Night RAW in the near future.

The NXT Championship match at Heatwave will also feature Cruz Montana, Grayson Waller, and current title holder Tony D’Angelo.
