Since being purchased by WWE in 2025, AAA has seen an influx of personnel from the American wrestling juggernaut. In terms of on-screen talent, this has seen prominent appearances from Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano, and Rey Mysterio to name a few. The same can be said behind the scenes, where The Undertaker has worked as head booker for the Mexican promotion. Another name who has been involved backstage recently is Pete Dunne, working as a producer.

It’s clear the former NXT UK Champion has impressed in the role, as reports indicate he was entrusted with developing a major match. According to Corey Brennan of Fightful, Dunne was the producer of the AAA Triplemania main event between El Grande Americano and Dominik Mysterio.

The match, which saw Americano successfully defeat Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship, was not only the payoff to a long-term story but also headlined AAA’s biggest show of the year. Dunne has worked as a producer for AAA since 2025, where he was spotted alongside Shawn Michaels for NXT/AAA Worlds Collide.

Since joining WWE in 2017, Pete Dunne has been best known for his time in NXT, where he won the NXT UK and NXT Tag Team Championships. A move to the main roster followed for “The Bruiserweight” where he was rechristened Butch and paired with Sheamus and Ridge Holland as The Brawling Brutes. In recent times, Dunne has reunited with British Strong Style stablemate Tyler Bate, though both have began working as Los Americanos on Raw and AAA.
