Kenny Omega Says AEW All In: London Match Against Will Ospreay Was Maybe The Hardest Of His Career

Kenny Omega reflects on facing Will Ospreay at AEW All In: London.

On August 30, Kenny Omega lost the AEW World Championship to Will Ospreay in the main event of All In: London. Under the Wembley arches, “The Aerial Assassin” reached the mountaintop by defeating “The Cleaner” after almost 35 minutes. The main-event clash left a lasting impression on those watching around the world, with many calling it one of the best matches of the year, and Omega has now reflected on how proud he is despite the physical toll.

Speaking with Hikaru Shida via her YouTube Channel, the two-time former AEW World Champion spoke in Japanese, describing his match against Ospreay as one of the hardest of his career.

“It may have been the hardest match of my career. Of course I’m getting older, so my strength is gradually going away. I’m getting weaker. At Wembley Stadium in front of around 50,000 people, I lost in the Main event. But I truly gave everything I had. I gave it my all. So I’m still very proud of my performance. Yes, you see the damage, but my heart is already healed. I couldn’t be more proud of my performance at Wembley. I couldn’t be more proud of our champion Will Ospreay. And I hope that everyone has a great memory of what will be a great memory for me at Wembley Stadium”

Omega has been with All Elite Wrestling since its inception back in 2019. In that time, he’s captured the AEW World Championship twice, defeating Jon Moxley back in December 2020 and MJF in July 2026. The 42-year-old is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in company history, and his spot in the main event of All In at Wembley was much deserved.

Since August 30, Omega hasn’t been seen on Dynamite or Collision, with it seeming like he’s taking time to heal after a hard-fought battle. The Canadian has been very transparent that his high-risk style has caught up with him over the years, not least due to his battle with diverticulitis which kept him out of action for many months, leaving many now wondering whether we may have last the last of him as world champion. That said, Omega has played an incredibly key role for AEW this year, and fans are certainly looking forward to his eventual return.
