Kenny Omega And Kota Ibushi Reunite After Ibushi’s Latest Surgery
The Golden Lovers have reunited after Kota Ibushi’s latest surgery.
There have been many unique pairings in the wrestling space over the years, but one of the most beloved is the pairing of Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega as The Golden Lovers. Their partnership began in DDT, extended to their time in NJPW, and they even had brief spurts in AEW before injuries kept them apart. On that note, Ibushi recently had to have a second surgery, and, to lift spirits, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion has reunited with Kenny Omega.
On Instagram, he posted that he and Kenny had spent time together of late.
Kota Ibushi is one of the greatest NJPW wrestlers of his era, being one of just nine Triple Crown Champions in company history. Sadly, though, due to his injury, it’s debatable whether Kota will ever wrestle again. In fact, he noted in a recent Instagram post that a return to the ring is “almost impossible”, although that won’t deter his ambition to compete again.
