Everything You Need To Know Ahead Of WWE Money In The Bank 2026

WWE heads to New Orleans, Louisiana, this Saturday, October 10, for Money in the Bank, which will take place at the Smoothie King Center.
The event will mark the first time a Money in the Bank PLE has been held in October, as well as the first edition to take place after SummerSlam. The main card begins at 6 pm ET / 3 pm PT, with the event streaming on the ESPN app in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will defend his title against LA Knight in the main event. The pair have met one-on-one only once before, at Crown Jewel in November 2023, where Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship with help from The Bloodline.
Over the past two months, LA Knight has repeatedly demanded a rematch, accusing Reigns of relying on his family and deliberately avoiding him. On September 14, after Reigns successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta on RAW, Knight laid him out with Blunt Force Trauma. Reigns subsequently told Knight he would see him at Money in the Bank, and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce made the match official the following day. The two came face to face again on the October 5 episode of RAW in St. Louis, Missouri, where Knight branded Reigns a corporate puppet.
Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer will defend her title against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a triple threat match. Morgan originally dethroned Vaquer at WrestleMania 42, but Vaquer reclaimed the championship on September 12 at a WWE live event in her home country of Chile, with Lynch serving as the special guest referee.
Lynch and Morgan subsequently faced off in a number one contender’s match on the October 5 episode of RAW, but the bout ended in a no contest after Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez interfered at ringside. Vaquer was also caught up in the chaos, with Lynch accidentally striking the champion when Morgan moved out of the way. Vaquer fought off both challengers before calling out RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, who made the triple threat match official.
The card also features the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches. In each bout, a briefcase is suspended above the ring, with the winner being the competitor who climbs a ladder to retrieve it. The briefcase contains a contract guaranteeing a world championship match of their choosing, which can be cashed in at any time and place over the following year.
Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, United States Champion Trick Williams, Penta, CM Punk and Kevin Owens will compete in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Punk is the only previous winner in the field, having won the match at both WrestleMania 24 and WrestleMania 25.
Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Women’s United States Champion Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend and Tiffany Stratton will compete in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Stratton won the match in 2024 and enters Saturday as the only former world champion in the field, while Perez is the only other competitor to have previously participated in the match.
Oba Femi and Bronson Reed will meet one-on-one for the first time. Femi, this year’s King of the Ring winner, faced Bron Breakker at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6 in Atlanta, Georgia, in a match billed as a battle for the future of WWE. Logan Paul and Austin Theory emerged to assist Breakker before Reed made his surprise return, attacking Femi with a steel chair to cause a disqualification.
Reed, who had been sidelined since February with a torn bicep, then hit Femi with four Tsunamis as he and Breakker stood tall together. Although Femi technically won the match by disqualification, he was left laid out in the ring. The match between Femi and Reed was made official on the September 28 episode of Monday Night RAW, when Reed signed a contract brought to the ring by Femi.
