New details have emerged about Max Caster’s quick TNA departure.

On Sunday night, Max Caster answered an open challenge from Moose at TNA’s Bound For Glory event. However, due to his entrance featuring controversial lines relating to recent events in Saudi Arabia, TNA officially cut ties with the former AEW talent. Now, more has come out about his exit from the company around a day after his debut.

First, PWInsider posted that he was indeed signed to a contract there, and that he was released due to a call by TNA head Carlos Silva.

“Max Caster being cut from TNA was a Carlos Silva call. Caster is believed to have signed a deal that would have paid Caster per appearance, which is what the majority of TNA deals are in 2026. The belief is the company gave Caster creative freedom with his entrance and didn’t know what was coming. A few people within AEW noted that TNA should have known better but also acknowledged part of the deal with Max’s raps is he tries to create controversry by being as biting as possible.”

Adding to this, Fightful Select said that some members of the TNA roster assign the blame to management for not checking what Caster was planning to say in his rap before going out there.

“Talent that we spoke to said that TNA should be taking some of the blame for not having him run through his rap, and that everything seemed fine on the bus from the event back to the talent hotel.”

After TNA cut ties, Max Caster took to social media to release a video statement apologising to those who he feels he let down with his recent appearance. In the video, he also noted how he never intends to upset people with his pre-match raps. You can read more about his response here.

As yet, there’s been no indication as to where Caster will go from here. His AEW contract was allowed to expire a couple of weeks ago, along with that of his former tag team partner Anthony Bowens, and “The Five Tool Player” recently discussed his own future. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Max Caster’s TNA exit as soon as we hear more.
