Jamie Hayter Injury Postpones WrestleDream Title Match

Jamie Hayter has not been cleared for action, delaying a tag title match set for AEW WrestleDream.
On the October 10 episode of Collision, Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander became the number one contenders for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships. As a result, a match against the Brawling Birds was set for the upcoming WrestleDream pay-per-view, however their title opportunity has now been delayed.
On his X account, Tony Khan revealed the current injury status of Jamie Hayter.
“I was hoping The Brawling Birds would be able to defend the Tag Team Championship, but Jamie Hayter, from that Chicago Street Fight, is still out injured. Hopefully Jamie Hayter will be back in a couple of weeks.”

Thankfully, by his own account, Hayter should only be out a couple of weeks, which means she likely will be able to defend the titles by AEW Full Gear in November, if not sooner. Nevertheless, this comes as a blow to the momentum that the women’s tag team division has been on, especially after the incredibly strong Chicago Street Fight at All Out.
To replace that match, a Fatal 4-Way match for the TBS Title was revealed for WrestleDream, with Persphone defending her belt against Dani Luna, Hyan, and Britt Baker. In total, fans currently have eight matches to look forward to on the main card, including the first Clockwork Carnage match in AEW history.
