Marina Shafir Joins Team International For CMLL Women’s Grand Prix

Shotzi Blackheart’s replacement in the CMLL Women’s Grand Prix has been announced.

AEW’s Marina Shafir has joined Team International for the upcoming CMLL Women’s Grand Prix, replacing TNA’s Shotzi Blackheart who has been forced to miss following a loss in the family.

Shafir will join a stacked international squad made up of wrestlers from all around the world and working for many of CMLL’s chief partners around the world, including STARDOM, AEW, and RevPro. They will compete against a team made up of all CMLL wrestlers on October 23.

CMLL runs two Grand Prix events during the year, taking the form of an 11 vs. 11 elimination style match. Whoever wins will receive a trophy and bragging rights. CMLL has run the Women’s Grand Prix every year since 2022. As of writing, CMLL has won ever since one of them so far.

Megan Bayne (USA/AEW)
Mei Seira (Japan/STARDOM)

La Jarochita (CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champion)
Lluvia (CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champion and Occidente Women’s Champion)
