AEW and NXT could be set to clash once again.

On October 6, AEW and NXT renewed their rivalry, reason being that AEW’s typical spot was taken by other sports on both TBS and TNT. That night, All Elite Wrestling presented Grand Slam France, although their viewership did suffer from a change of night. However, in a reverse situation, it now seems NXT could opt to move their show to Wednesday in two weeks’ time when Dynamite centres around Blood & Guts.

According to an update from Bryan Alvarez via a social media post, it’s believed WWE will be moving NXT on November 3 as they face the threat of being on the air during the midterm elections that happen countrywide which could affect the areas in which it airs.

“Confirmed that November 4th NXT and AEW are going head-to-head. That’s the Blood and Guts show and NXT was told to load it up.”

-Bryan Alvarez

With Dynamite routinely holding a Tuesday episode of the show at the steer of October each year, NXT moving instead is a unique situation for the brands to be a part of. As such, many will certainly be interested in how the ratings go for that clash, especially as it’s only around a month since their last battle. On the October 6 head-to-head, NXT won in ratings on the TV side, but AEW won the demo and had more views overall when you include their HBO Max viewership. You can read more about that here.

Blood & Guts is a show known for being among the most violent matches of the year, and is typically a highlight of AEW’s calendar. Plus, last year’s show was the first to feature a women’s Blood & Guts, further aiding it as a yearly tradition. As such, NXT’s encroachment on one of their rival’s staple events will be fascinating to see.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the upcoming clash between AEW and WWE as soon as we hear more.
