Shun Skywalker Teases Facing Mistico At Lucha Kingdom

It appears that Mistico has found his new opponent for Lucha Kingdom.

Originally, at Lucha Kingdom on November 16, Mistico was set to face El Desperado. However, due to his recent injury news, Desperado had to pull out of the event, leaving his fellow former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion without an opponent. Now, it seems someone has stepped up.

According to a social media post made on Thursday night, Shun Skywalker will reportedly step in for El Desperado and wrestle the Lucha legend at the upcoming CMLL/NJPW Lucha Kingdom event on November 16.

The only reason why this can’t be 100 percent confirmed at this point is because Shun Skywalker has been known to mess with fans at times. But, if he’s honest and this is the match, this could be a show stealer for sure. This is a totally fresh singles contest, and it’ll serve as Skywalker’s first match in Mexico since he fought Jack Evans at a Mas Lucha show in 2022.

Mistico and Skywalker have wrestled eachother three times as of writing; two of them have happened since the latter’s NJPW debut in August. The other one was at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow during WrestleMania week in 2024 while he was the Open the Dream Gate Champion in Dragon Gate. Mistico currently holds the advantage at 2-1.

Both wrestlers have been among the most exciting wrestlers to watch all decade, so a singles match between these two should surely be a memorable bout.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Mistico’s Lucha Kingdom match as soon as we hear more.
