Queen Aminata Wins AEW TBS Championship

There’s a new Queen of TBS!

Queen Aminata defeated Persephone to become the new TBS Champion in the main event of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday. Aminata hit Persephone with her patented Queen’s Crown followed by an Off With Her Head to end the CMLL luchadora’s reign at 60 days.

After she clinched the victory, the AEW women’s locker room flooded the ring to celebrate the Guinean’s momentous achievement.

For many fans, this was a long time coming for Aminata. According to Cagematch, this was her sixth attempt at the title, and her first singles bout for the belt since July. She’s constantly been in the mix for the title for the past two years.

This is Aminata’s third career title and her first in AEW. Previously, she’s carried the GCW Women’s Championship as well as DEADLOCK’s Women’s Championship.
