Kenny Omega is the former AEW World Champion, having last appeared for the company at the end of last year when he lost his title to Hangman Adam Page.
It has been a long time since AEW fans were able to enjoy Omega live on screen and of course a lot have missed him and started to speculate about him possibly coming back for the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV show.
It was also recently reported by PWInsider that Kenny Omega had actually recently been back with AEW but in a backstage role, producing some of the Womens matches, which he had been known to help with and do in the past.
However, unfortunately in the latest update from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, its seems like we still have no potential timeframe for when Kenny Omega will be back in an AEW ring and performing.
“The Young Bucks also teased that when Kenny Omega is healthy he would return and face Vikingo. There isn’t even close to a date set for Omega to return,”

Of course, Kenny Omega getting back to 100% is the most important thing and a rushed return isn’t something that should even be considered. Hopefully that 100% will come sooner rather than later as he has now been out for around half a year, with AEW faithful’s missing him a tremendous amount.
