Following the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s report yesterday that former Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley is set to return to WWE “somewhat soon”, Fightful Select have now provided an update of their own that further confirms that an in-ring return for Bayley may be on the cards sooner rather than later.
The report notes that, as suggested by a recent post to her social media accounts, Bayley has been preparing for a return to the ring, although no specific timetable was provided in regards to how close she is to making her comeback.
“The former multi- time women’s champion has been preparing for an in ring return, WWE sources have confirmed to Fightful. Bayley alluded to this on her social media this week, but WWE sources did confirm with Fightful that she’s been in the ring working on a return to action. As to how she’s been preparing, or a timetable, we’re not sure.”

WWE are set to present their Money in the Bank premium live event tonight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and Fightful also provided an update on the possibility of Bayley appearing as a part of the event.
Fightful stated that the same WWE sources that provided them with the update regarding Bayley training for a return confirmed that as of Friday, she was not present in Las Vegas for MITB. Fightful then noted however, that multiple stars set to compete on tonight’s show were yet to arrive in Las Vegas at this point in time due to them havibg to perform at Smackdown, and thus it is possible that Bayley was simply another star yet to arrive.
We look forward to seeing Bayley eventually return to the ring, with her reign as Smackdown Women’s Champion undoubtably being one of the highlights of WWE’s Pandemic Era.
