Earlier this month, AEW presented their All Out PPV from Chicago, Illinois, a show that saw hometown hero CM Punk recapture the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley in the main event, although the headlines since the show have unfortunately been dominated by the backstage events in the aftermath of the post-show press conference.
As reported by a number of sources, a brawl took place between AEW EVPs The Elite, CM Punk, and Ace Steel, with both chairs and punches being thrown, as well as Steel allegedly biting Omega’s ear during the chaos. As a result, those involved in the brawl were suspended by AEW, including Brandon Cutler and Pat Buck who are believed to have made attempts to break apart the conflict.
Fightful Select have now provided an update on the status of Pat Buck heading into tonight’s Dynamite, stating that his suspension has now concluded, with the backstage producer set to be at tonight’s tapings.
“Pat Buck returned from suspension and is backstage at AEW Dynamite today, sources indicated to Fightful. We’re told that Buck was integral in helping break up the fight and was doing his best to restore order in the situation.”

In addition, the Wrestling Observer have provided their own update on the status of those believed to have attempted to break up the fight, reporting that all four names’ suspensions are now over.
“Brandon Cutler, Pat Buck and others that attempted to break up the post-All Out backstage fight are no longer suspended by AEW.”
-Wrestling Observer
The Observer also noted, however, that those directly involved in the brawl, that being Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, CM Punk, and Ace Steel, are all still serving their AEW suspensions whilst the third-party investigation into the matter is ongoing
In regards to the whereabouts of the aforementioned names, Daniels is currently in Japan for scheduled shows with AJPW and is not at Dynamite. Omega is also in Japan for the ongoing Tokyo Game Show, and was pictured at Sega’s Head Office yesterday. Fightful Select also noted that Nakazawa is another name currently in Japan, with his trip to his homeland believed to have been planned prior to his suspension, and thus he wasn’t planned for tonight’s Dynamite regardless.
Fightful Select closed their report by stating that whilst there were original plans for some AEW names to be involved in promoting AEW: Fight Forever this week, that might not be the case considering the circumstances.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any updates on this developing story as soon as we hear more.
