AEW’s Adam Cole, the first ever winner of the Mens Owen Hart Tournament is reportedly suffering with an injury.

Adam Cole was in action this past Sunday at AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV where he defeated Samoa Joe to win the final of the Owen Hart Tournament, also handing Joe his first lost since joining AEW.

However, Adam Cole is now set to be taking some time off to heal what seems to be a shoulder injury. The unfortunate news comes from Bryan Alvarez on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live:

“He (Jeff Hardy) was hurt going into the match (at Double Or Nothing) and I think its clear it’s like “this dude needs time to get better” so he’s pulled and its now an 8-man, so they also pulled Adam Cole and I’ve been told Adam Cole’s also hurt”

“Adam Cole, he’s injured as well. You could see that his shoulder was all taped up, so whatever’s going on, he’s also getting time off to heal”

– Bryan Alvarez

Cole was originally scheduled to compete in a 10-man tag match featuring AEW World Tag Team Champions Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, Christian and The Hardys vs. Undisputed Elite. The match was recently changed to and 8 man tag, removing both Jeff Hardy & Adam Cole, reportedly because of injuries.
