Adam Cole is reportedly almost ready to make his in-ring return to AEW.
Recently, Adam Cole made his return to AEW TV after being away for a short while with a reported Torn Labrum injury, also reportedly suffering a concussion in the 4-way match for the IWGP World Champion at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door.
In making his return to AEW TV, Adam Cole turned his back on the Young Bucks, setting them up to be attacked by reDragon, seemingly setting up a big time match sometime in the future.
However, it has now been reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that Adam Cole is in fact still waiting to be medically cleared, but he should be soon. Also adding that with CM Punk returning at last night’s AEW Dynamite, and Bryan Danielson set to return next week, Kenny Omega expected back soon, their key guys are now pretty much back:
“The guys are coming back. Punk’s back tonight, Omega’s coming back soon. Danielson’s gonna be on (next week’s Dynamite), Adam Cole was on TV last week, and he’s not cleared yet but he should be cleared relatively soon from what I understand. So the key guys are pretty much back.”– Dave Meltzer
What the plans will be for Adam Cole & Kenny Omega when they return to the ring are still technically unknown, whereas it is very fair to assume the next thing CM Punk will be doing is stepping into the ring with Jon Moxley at All Out for the AEW World Championship, and Bryan Danielson already has his next match announced. A 2 out of 3 falls match with Daniel Garcia next week.
