Welcome to this week’s Wrestlepurists coverage of AEW Collision. This show promises a night full of excitement. We have a thrilling, violent 6 man elimination tag team match in a cage between FTR with Daniel Garcia against the House of Black, We have a Tag team match between The BCC’s Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley vs Shayne Taylor and Lee Moriarty, the International championship is defended against Komander, Mariah May will have her second match against Lady Frost, Bryan Danielson will take on the legendary Yugi Nagata and Serena Deeb returns to action.
CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI AND JON MOXLEY DEFEATS SHANE TAYLOR AND LEE MORIARTY
The match started with a big brawl on the outside giving The BCC the early advantage, but Shane and Lee fought back. Both teams were doing everything they could to hurt one another. Shane and Lee targeted Moxley his hand he hurt early in the match. Claudio caught Lee in the giant swing, Shane got in the ring and Claudio dropped Lee as he and Shane got into a back and forth fist fight, Claudio got the upper hand by hitting an uppercut followed by a lariat, Lee threw out Claudio, but Moxley caught Lee in a rear naked choke, Lee reversed in a pin for a near fall and Lee tags Shane in who got hit with a big uppercut from behind followed by stomps from Moxley, who then locked in a rear naked choke on a very defiant Shane Taylor for the win.
BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW WITH KOMANDER, AND THE KINGDOM BY LEXY NAIR
Roderick Strong told Komander that he has a match at Revolution for the International Championship. He tried to make a deal with Komander if he wins and grabs and shakes his hand.
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: ORANGE CASSIDY DEFEATS KOMANDER
The match started friendly with a handshake and hug from Komander, followed by various pin attempts, during the match The Kingdom watched the match from ringside. At the end of the match, The Kingdom came to the ring but Komander took out Taven and Bennet, once back in the ring Orange hit him with an orange punch for the win. After the match, Strong held up the championship.
BACKSTAGE EMERGENCY WITH DANIEL GARCIA
Daniel Garcia was covered in blood backstage with Daddy Magic calling for help.
Backstage Vignette with Toni Storm
Mariah May asked if Toni wanted to watch her match and Toni asked where it would take place, May told her in Bossier City in LA and Toni mentioned that she was not allowed there due to some race horses she had to have put down.
MARIAH MAY DEFEATS LADY FROST
Both of these women had a hard-hitting affair with a good second showing by May, and Lady Frost who always delivers. After May avoided the frostbite, May hit the May Day for the win.
SWERVE STRICKLAND VIGNETTE
Swerve decided on Hangman Adam Page’s opponent for Dynamite next week for the Dealer’s Choice Match and it will be Toa Leona.
BACKSTAGE WITH HANGMAN ADAM PAGE
Hangman Adam Page told Swerve he will have to wait to hear who his opponent will be.
CONTINENTAL CROWN PROVING GROUND MATCH: EDDIE KINGSTON DEFEATS WILLIE MACK
Willie Mack came straight to Eddie and hit a brainbuster for a close pin for the win. Mack hit Eddie with everything he had but Eddie kept getting up and after a spinning back fist, he pinned Willie for the win. After the match Bryan Danileson and Eddie passed each other on the ramp, Eddie stared at Bryan but he ignored Eddie and Eddie joined commentary for Bryan his match.
BRYAN DANIELSON DEFEATS YUGI NAGATA
This match had a special feeling around it as the crowd loved it. Both were testing each other at the beginning of the match, and both evenly matched, At the end of the match Bryan kicked Yugi twice on the back of the head followed by a big knee for the pin and win.
BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN CAGE BY RENEE PAQUETTE
Brian Cage asked why everyone was talking about HOOK and that Cage was the first FTW champion but HOOK walked in and told Cage he was available.
SERENA DEEB DEFEATS ROBYN
The Returning Serena Deeb is not playing around as she quickly made Robyn tap out with the detox for the win. After the match Serena put the whole division on notice and the woman of a thousand holds is back as she aims for the women’s world heavyweight championship.
CMLL Announcement
Tony Schiavone mentioned that the stars of CMLL will appear on Rampage and Dynamite with a video package hyping the stars of CMLL.
ESCAPE THE CAGE ELIMINATION TRIOS STEEL CAGE MATCH: FTR AND DANIEL GARCIA DEFEATS THE HOUSE OF BLACK
This was a brutal and chaotic match, Mark Briscoe replaced Daniel Garcia but House of Black also took out Mark Briscoe. A head-wrapped Garcia came out with a steal chair and took out Black, as Garcia was bleeding all six men finally entered the cage. Both Dax and King are the first ones out of the cage after a brutal exchange, followed by Cash who went through a table, Matthews got sent to the floor with Garcia and Black left as the only two in the match. After a piledriver on Black, Garcia climbed the cage to get out, but he didn’t see the cage door was open. As Black tried to crawl out Mark Briscoe slammed the cage door into Black and FTR with Garcia gaining the win.
