Welcome to this week’s edition of The Wrestlepurists coverage of the go-home show to AEW Revolution this Sunday. This show features an all-star 8-man tag team match, between Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, Hook, Daniel Garcia vs Christian, Killswitch, Roddy Strong, and Brian Cage. Mariah May in action, The Acclaimed and Austin Gunn vs The Dark Order, Private Party vs Matt Sydal and Christopher Daniels, Penta vs Bryan Keith vs Dante Martin to qualify for the all-star scramble match and so much more.
MARK BRISCOE STANDS TALL AGAINST THE HOUSE OF BLACK
Buddy Matthews came out for his entrance, when he was standing in the corner of the ring Mark Briscoe ambushed Budy, when he was about to weaponize the spike The House Of Black tried to make the safe, but Mark fought them off until the numbers game got the better of Mark. Mark still stood tall after diving off the stage and tried to set Buddy on fire before he got stopped by AEW officials.
8-MAN SCRAMBLE QUALIFIER: DANTE MARTIN dEFEATS PENTA EL ZERO MIEDO AND BRYAN KEITH
During this match, Penta lived up to his namesake of zero miedo. Penta and Bryan Keith were throwing around heavy hits, and Dante used his high-flying offensive skills to stay in the match. Penta managed to hit package piledriver on the apron, and Dante caught Penta with a Canadian destroyer also on the apron and Dante finished the match with a splash and pin on a still-downed Bryan Keith.
HANGMAN ADAM PAGE PROMO
Hangman Adam Page yelled that he was sorry for tricking everyone he was injured and that he had to do it because he’d rather die than let Swerve become the AEW world champion.
MARIAH MAY DEFEATS ANGELICA RISK
Mariah May came out swinging not giving Risk any chance to fight back and after a Mayday, she got the pin-fall victory. After the match, Toni Storm came out and she avoided a hug from an excited May. Instead, Toni called out Deonna Purrazzo, Purrazzo came out and they both said they loved each other but that there could be only one, and Purrazzo told Toni that she hopes she has a bidet because when she breaks her arms she is going to have a hard time to wipe her ass. Toni said goodbye, old friend put lipstick on and planted a kiss on Purrazzo’s cheek, Purrazzo attacked her and Toni escaped while May took a piledriver from Purrazzo.
BANG BANG SCISSOR GANG DEFEATS THE DARK ORDER
At the beginning of the match, The Bang Bang Scissor Gang had the advantage but while they went for a mid-match scissor, the Dark Order took their chance to do damage, it wasn’t enough as the supergroup got the win through a splash by Caster set up by Bowens, the supergroup seems to improve their teamwork each week.
KRIS STATLANDER, WILLOW NIGHTINGALE, AND STOKELY HATHAWAY INTERVIEW
Kris and Willow were asked if they would have new tactics for their upcoming tag team match against Julia Heart and Skye Blue, Stokeley said that the word of the day is accountability and apologized. Willow told Stokeley to stop talking and that they are going to kick ass because it is about revolution.
WARDLOW PROMO
Wardlow came out and claimed he would win the scramble match and called out and threatened whoever the champion would be and he told the crowd that he is him and that he’s always been him. Jericho came out and told Wardlow he’s never been good enough as the two shared a war of words, Wardlow told Jericho to come down so they can fight it out but as Jericho was walking down, he got laid out by Powerhouse Will Hobbs and Will Hobbs yelled at Wardlow one more day.
SERENA DEEB INTERVIEW
Deeb said that she is undefeated and undeniable and that no one challenged her in the ring yet, she put out a challenge for anyone who thinks that they are on her level and that she is the final boss.
PRIVATE PARTY DEFEATS MATT SYDAL AND CHRISTOPHER DANIELS
Both teams were fighting on equal footing until Jeff Jaret and his group showed up to distract Daniels and Matt, while being distracted Jay Lethal took out Daniels to give Private Party the advantage and the win by a pin-fall. After the match, it seemed like Private Party aligned with Jeff Jarret and his group.
THUNDER ROSA DEFEATS CASSANDRA GOLDEN
Thunder Rosa continued her undefeated run, Rosa went up against Cassandra Golden who is a 5-year vet. Rosa defeated Golden via submission.
RODERICK STRONG, BRYAN CAGE, KILLSWITCH, AND CHRISTIAN CAGE DEFEAT ORANGE CASSIDY, TRENT BERETTA, DANIEL GARCIA AND HOOK
This match was filled with chaos and bodies dropping everywhere, Nick Wayne attacked Berreta for a while the referee was distracted and Killswitch got the victory, and then a huge brawl broke out as Collision went off the air.
