Welcome to this week’s edition of the Wrestlepurists’ coverage of AEW Collision. Tonight’s show promises some hard-hitting action, with the international championship being defended by Orange Cassidy against the debuting ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Bryan Keith, and of course the continuation of The Continental Classic that promises highly competitive matches in the Blue League and much more. 

Blue League Match: Claudio Castagnoli defeats Andrade el Idolo

Both Andrade and Claudio were evenly matched at the beginning of the match. Still, Claudio ends up with the advantage as he is looking to take revenge for his fellow BCC member, Bryan Danielson, for how Andrade hurt Danielson last week on Collision. The crowd was fully behind El Idolo as he made a comeback, but Claudio was constantly a step ahead. They were trading moves for moves showing no signs of slowing down. When the referee was not looking, he kneed Andrade in his private parts followed by the neutralizer for the win, giving him 3 points.

Abadon defeats Jazmin Allure

Abadon made quick work of Jazmin without giving her a chance to fight back, after a black dahlia Abadon wins and continues her pursuit of the TBS championship. After the match, Julia Hart showed up and they started fighting until Sky Blue showed up and helped Julia, but Thunder Rosa came to the aid of Abadon chasing away Julia and Sky Blue. Abadon and Thunder Rosa shook hands and hugged.

The Acclaimed Backstage Interview With Renee Paquette

The Acclaimed are back after they were attacked by the devil and they are pissed they vow to hunt them down. Max Caster said he does not want to be friends with MJF anymore because he put them in danger. Top flight with Action Andretti interrupts them, but Anthony Bowens tells them they chose the wrong time which resulted in a match being made for the trio titles at next week’s Holiday Bash.

AEW International Title Match: Orange Cassidy (c) Defeats Bryan Keith

Texas is very hot for The Bounty Hunter Bryan Keith, throughout the match Keith was holding his own against the champion and often had the advantage but after some back and forth, Cassidy hit Keith with the beach break it wasn’t enough, but Orange was one step ahead trapping The Bounty Hunter in the seatbelt pin for the win. After the Match Keith showed respect by tipping his cowboy hat and Cassidy tipped his sunglasses. what a showing and a weekend it was for The Bounty Hunter.

Miro Promo

Miro said that Andrade his loss tonight meant that he is closer to being eliminated from the tournament which meant Andrade is closer to being destroyed by The Redeemer’s hands.

Komander backstage interview with Lexy Nair

Lexy Nair was talking to Komander about him being the last man who was defeated in the Survival of the Fittest TV title match, The Kingdom, and Roderick Strong interrupted him before he could say anything. Matt and Roddy boast about how they won that title that Komander couldn’t win, and Roddy challenged Komander to a match.

FTR In-Ring Promo

FTR came out looking bruised from the war they had at ROH Final Battle against The BCC. They called out Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black telling them that they are jealous of Brody King doing well in the Continental Classic and Julia being the TBS champion and that they’re turning their hatred to FTR. House of Black showed up on the screen and said that it is not personal and it is out of love. Malakai says that when they attacked FTR no one came to help them, Malakai said that if it was personal they would hurt their family while they said that they held a picture of Hardwood his family and started burning the picture as FTR ran to the back.

Keith Lee Video Package

Lexy Nair asked Keith Lee what was next for him now that he defeated Shane Taylor at ROH Final Battle, but Lee said Shane Taylor was not Him, alluding that Lee has his eyes on another target.

Texas Street Fight: Kris Statlander & Willow Nightingale defeat Mercedes Martinez & Diamante

This was a chaotic match from the start both teams showing their violent side. Willow was busted open by a bottle, and eventually, Diamante was busted open too, there were tables, barbed wires, thumbtacks, and everything under the sun involved. Statlander hit Diamante with chain assisted clothesline for the win for her team.

Toni Storm & Mariah May backstage interview with Renee Paquette

During the interview, we find out that next week on Dynamite Saraya and Riho will face each other to determine the number 1 contender to face the champion Timeless Toni Storm at Worlds End. Toni tells Renee she doesn’t have a preference for who wins. Renee asked Mariah about when we will see her wrestle, she says that Tony Khan helped her get her American wrestling license so we can expect it soon. Mariah asked if Toni could do commentary for her match or give her tips, but Toni told her that she’s very busy. Toni hopes that both Saraya and Riho gouge each other eyes out, rips each other hairs out, and slaps each other tits off so that whoever Toni has to face will be a blind, titless baldie.

Adam Copeland Video Package

Adam Copeland said that his match with Christian Cage two weeks ago gave him a thirst for gold, therefor he is asking for another match for the TNT championship rematch at Worlds End in a NO DQ match.

Brian Cage defeats Kari Wright

Brian Cage doesn’t waste time and destroys Kari Wright within a minute as he celebrates with the Gates of Agony and Prince Nana

Mogul Embassy backstage interview with Lexy Nair

During the Interview, the Mogul Embassy explains that it may be Swerve’s house but they are also living in it as they are also looking to dominate the competition. Before they left Keith Lee tells them to give a message to Swerve and that message is that Lee his patience is running thin and that time is running out, alluding that the ‘ Him’ Lee was talking about the whole time was Swerve Stricland.

Blue League Match: Eddie Kingston Defeats Daniel Garcia

Both Kingston and Daniel Garcia are in a desperate position for a win, at the start of the match both men were sizing each other up, but Garcia found an opening on Kingston his leg and immediately took advantage to target it, but Kingston kept overpowering him. Kingston kept punishing Garcia with all kinds of chops including his signature machine gun chops. Garcia shows heart and kept coming back until he hit Kingston with a dragon screw giving Garcia the advantage by targeting his injured leg. Kingston came back and they traded suplexes and they kept brawling, both these men traded move for move, but Kingston managed to hit the spinning backfist to pin Garcia for the win. During the match, there was another match made for next week’s Collision Holiday Bash, which will be Julia Hart and Skye Blue vs Abandon and the returning Thunder Rosa.

Blue League Match: Bryan Danielson defeats Brody King

At the beginning of the match, Danielson is cautious and focuses on Brody King his legs with some kicks, but it doesn’t take long for Brody to target Danielson his injured left orbital. Brody beat up Danielson outside the ring and smashed his face a couple of times on the announce table, and threw him in the barricade after that he squished Danielson with his own body against the barricade at full speed and waited out the countout, once Danielson got in the ring Brody focused the attack on Danielson his injured eye while his eyebrow is bleeding. Brody kept up the advantage but after a big knee from Danielson kept up his high-octane offense. They kept going move for move and at some point both men were down. Brody seemed to have an injured leg that Danielson was targeting and he finally got big bad Brody down as Danielson stomped his head in, Bordy answered back with a Death Valley driver for a 2 count. Danielson hit Brody with the running knee but Brody kicked out of one. Danielson punished Brody with his kicks but Brody laid Danielson out with a big clothesline for a two count. After three running knees Danielson picked up the win for 3 points tying him with Andrade for 9 points.
