Saturdays are alright for fighting! Welcome to this week’s coverage of AEW Collision by Wrestlepurists.

On this week’s show, we have Bryan Danielson vs the legendary Jun Akiyama, both Serena Deeb and Thunder Rosa will also be in action, A No DQ match between Powerhouse Will Hobbs and Sammy Guevara, The Bounty Hunter Bryan Keith takes on Malakai Black, The Bang Bang Scissor Gang will be in action in a Trios match, there will be tag team action as FTR will face Shane Taylor Promotions, and so much more.

NO DQ MATCH: POWERHOUSE WILL HOBBS DEFEATS SAMMY GUEVARA

Sammy started the match with a big kick, followed by a springboard cutter and a lariat to the outside. On the outside, both men tried to use the steel steps as a weapon, Hobbs caught Sammy in the air and hit the world’s strongest slam on the steel steps. Hobbs continued to punish Sammy by slamming and throwing him into the barricade, Hobbs took the belt of Kevin Kelly to hit Sammy, and Sammy fought back with superkicks and a steel chair, after another cutter Sammy set up two tables on the outside. Hobbs grabs Sammy out of the air to hit a spine buster of the apron on the two tables on the floor. Sammy hit Hobbs with two beer bottles and a Swanton bomb from a ladder on the table outside. back in the ring Hobbs stops Guevara’s offense and puts Sammy through a table from the top rope with the world’s strongest slam.

JON MOXLEY AND CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI BACKSTAGE PROMO

Moxley and Claudio called out FTR and challenged them to a match at AEW Revolution.

FTR DEFEATS SHANE TAYLOR PROMOTIONS

The match started with both teams sizing each other up, during the match, Dax showed off his speed advantage against Shane as Shane punished FTR with his power. Shane and Moriarty utilized quick tags to punish Dax but he managed to get the tag to Cash, and Cash was fired up being able to take out both men. Shane connected with a big right and Lee tried to roll up Cash for a near-fall after FTR countered with a Doomsday Device for the pin-fall victory. After the match, FTR addressed The BCC and they accepted their challenge and were coming to kill the king, Jon Moxley.

THUNDER ROSA DEFEATS LADY BIRD MONROE

During the match Thunder Rosa was fired up against Monroe, Monroe didn’t hold back either with some hard slaps, but after a big Knee and a Tijuana bomb, Thunder Rosa got the pin-fall victory.

KRIS STATLANDER, WILLOW NIGHTINGALE, STOKELY HATHAWAY BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW BY RENEE PAQUETTE

Kris took the mic away from Stokeley and challenged Skye Blue to a match for next week’s Collision.

THE BANG BANG SCISSOR GANG DEFEATS THE IRON SAVAGES

The Bang Bang Scissor Gang had trouble finding their groove as a new team but once Jay White got in the match he took out all three of his opponents and with the assist from Daddy Ass, Jay hit a blade runner for the pin-fall victory as the supergroup celebrate.

BRYAN DANIELSON BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW BY LEXY NAIR

Bryan talked about how he respects the legend, Jun Akiyama, but that he doesn’t respect Eddie Kingston. Bryan mentioned even though he respects Jun, he will beat Jun who is one of Eddie his heroes. He further explains that he was furious at Eddie because Bryan saw Eddie his full potential, but that Eddie has wasted it all.

MALAKAI BLACK DEFEATS BRYAN KEITH

This was a competitive match between both men. Both men showed their striking abilities. Malakai hit a big knee into a German suplex for a near-fall. Malakai tried to hit The End but missed and Keith countered by hitting a big powerbomb, but Keith was not able to keep Malakai down. Malakai hit The End out of nowhere for the pin-fall victory. After the match, the arena went dark and then Mark Briscoe showed up with a kendo stick and beat up Malakai and the rest of House Of Black but after a missed hit on Malakai, The House Of Black took out Mark.

SERENA DEEB DEFEATS LADY FROST

Both women showed off their respective styles during the match, but Serena Deeb’s technical ability had the advantage as Deeb targeted Lady Fross her leg. Deeb got the submission win by hitting a ripcord forearm smash, followed by a hammerlock lariat and then a single-leg Boston crab. After the match, Deeb mentioned she was waiting for the best competitors and that she was there to elevate the women’s division.

BRYAN DANIELSON DEFEATS JUN AKIYAMA

This match had a big fight feel to it. Both men started the match by scanning each other and locking up, followed by chain wrestling. They exchanged multiple submissions, with Danielson using the muta lock which Jun is familiar with easily escaped, both then transitioned in a striking exchange. Danielson tried to go for a suicide dive but Jun stopped him with a hit to the face mid-dive. While lying on the apron Jun hit Bryan with a knee drop on his head, and Danielson hit a big knee from apron before they got back in the ring. Danielson continued his assault with a top rope dropkick, followed by running dropkicks in the corner, but when he went for a third one, Jun countered with a big lariat. Jun hit Bryan with a couple of knees but went for a running knee and he got countered into an ankle lock, followed by a German suplex. Jun countered Bryan his yes kicks and hit an exploder suplex for a near-fall and immediately put Bryan in a triangle choke, but Bryan was able to escape through a rope break. After another striking exchange, both men hit a running knee but Bryan followed up with a knee and a final running knee for a pin-fall victory. After the match, Bryan and Jun shook hands but then Bryan immediately disrespect towards Eddie Kingston who was on commentary by giving him the middle finger. Jun slapped Bryan for the disrespect & Bryan kicked Jun in the private parts. Eddie Kingston then jumped in the ring and attacked Bryan, Claudio came out to help Danielson, but FTR came out to help Eddie.
