With today’s episode of AEW Dynamite just a few hours away, the talking point throughout the wrestling world remains focused on the backstage altercation that transpired following this Sunday’s All Out PPV between CM Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently revealed that current AEW World Champion CM Punk is in Chicago, and not in Buffalo ahead of tonight’s show, with him and Ace Steel set to have a zoom call with officials at 4 PM EST.
Fightful Select are now reporting that this isn’t the only meeting taking place in regards to this situation this evening, as yet another AEW talent meeting is set to happen ahead of tonight’s show, with top stars such as Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho, and Jon Moxley set to take the lead.
“We’re told that an AEW talent meeting was set to take place at 4:15 PM EST, with talent, referees, coaches and announcers. Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley were set to lead the meeting. Chris Jericho had been complimented by several on the AEW roster about his demeanor and resolve as the Elite/CM Punk situation unfolded.”

Tony Khan is set to discuss the backstage conflict in one form or another on tonight’s show, with the AEW President taking to twitter to reveal that he’ll address both the AEW World Championship and Trios Championships, potentially lending credence to the idea that said titles may be vacated, likely due to a combination of suspensions and injuries.
Fightful closed their report by notingt that they’re working on gaining the details of the aforementioned meeting, and thus as always, we’ll aim to provide any updates as soon as we hear more.
