AEW are still working hard to keep their EVPs with the company.

With both AEW EVPs Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks’ contracts set to expire next year, multiple reports over the past several months have noted that negotiations over new deals are ongoing, although we’ve yet to receive confirmation of an agreement for an extension being close.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on The Elite’s contract negotiations, revealing that the company is becoming increasingly aggressive in their attempts to convince the trio to put pen to paper.

“AEW is getting more aggressive in trying to get the contracts of the Young Bucks & Kenny Omega completed.”

This past Sunday saw the trio, along with fellow Elite member Hangman Adam Page, lose out to the Blackpool Combat Club in an Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing, following a shocking heel turn from Konosuke Takeshita.

AEW will undoubtedly hope to reach an agreement with The Elite to extend their deals as soon as possible, with WWE reported to have a long-standing interest in the trio.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on The Elite’s AEW contract status as soon as we hear more.
