Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks became founding members of AEW in 2019, and have been crucial to their on-screen success throughout that time. The stars each signed five year contracts upon the company’s inception which would see them through until 2024 and, with that being just over 9 months away, questions have started to surface regarding the future of the trio in the company they helped to create.

In fact, it had previously been reported that Kenny Omega’s AEW contract would’ve already expired if not for the time he spent out nursing multiple injuries allowing the company to extend his deal. Now, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has stated that AEW are keen to tie down The Elite to new deals ‘well before’ their current expiry dates to avoid any tension closer to the deadline.

The group recently lost the AEW Trios Championships to the House Of Black, though they have a chance to regain their gold next week as they battle the new champions and the JAS in a triple threat match.

As always, we’ll aim to update you on The Elite and their contract details as soon as we hear more.
