Adam Cole could be returning to AEW soon.

Adam Cole has unfortunately been out of action for several months with a torn labrum. He hasn’t wrestled a match since the June 26 Forbidden Door show.

It was part of a summer full of injuries for AEW, but recently they’ve started to regain some of their top stars. Omega, Punk and Danielson have all returned from injury and it seems that Adam Cole could join them back on the AEW roster soon.

This Sunday is AEW’s All Out PPV, which features a Casino Ladder Match where the winner receives a future AEW World Championship shot. The match will feature a surprise entrant, known as the ‘joker’, and many people have speculated on who this could be. A popular name to suggest has been MJF, who hasn’t been seen in AEW since he dropped a damning promo about the company. Alternatively, Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter brought up the aforementioned Adam Cole and also speculated that names such as Dragon Lee, Konosuke Takeshita and Lance Archer may also find themselves in the match.

“There also could be a Japanese wrestler or a Luchador, Dragon Lee notable given his falling out with Andrade & Rush in that angle, or bringing back Konosuke Takeshita. Lance Archer is on the roster and they don’t do much with him. Adam Cole is expected to be healed up and ready so perhaps it’s him.”

The joker is one of the most intriguing things about All Out on Sunday but the card itself is stacked. There are 14 matches lined up for the event and the casino ladder match is just one part of AEW’s premium event.
