AEW have recently been suffering through somewhat of an injury crisis, with multiple top stars including CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, and Adam Cole all winding up on the sidelines for an extended period of time, and although the company now appear to be heading back to full strength, there is unfortunately another top AEW star now confirmed to be working through an injury.

Following the three-way tag-team bout at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event between FTR, United Empire, and Roppongi Vice, FTR’s Dax Harwood indicated that he had suffered a shoulder injury, however he’s barely slown down since.

The AAA, IWGP, and ROH Tag Team Champions recently defended their Ring of Honor Titles at the Death Before Dishonor show against The Briscoes, wrestling for 40 minutes in a brutal 2/3 falls match.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has since, however, reported that despite his incredible performances, Harwood has been suffering with a torn labrum.

“Dax Harwood is the latest AEW wrestler working with a torn labrum. After the Briscoes match, he came out of it with a swollen eye, a stiff neck and his bad shoulder was worse.”

Fellow AEW star Adam Cole has also been suffering with a torn labrum, with the UE leader noticably hurt during his four-way IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match at Forbidden Door. During this Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite, it was announced that Cole would be returning to the ring next week alongside his Undisputed Era stablemates Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish.

As always, we wish Dax Harwood all the best with his recovery from injury, and hope that he’ll be back in the ring soon to do what he does best.
