AEW’s Kevin Knight Says He May Relinquish TNT Title If He Wins AEW World Title At Redemption
Kevin Knight could relinquish the TNT Championship if he’s successful at AEW Redemptiom.
Since capturing the TNT Championship at AEW Dynasty on April 12, Kevin Knight has gone from strength to strength. Now a member of The Don Callis Family, Knight recently set the record for the most successful TNT Championship defences. However, with an AEW World Championship opportunity against Kenny Omega awaiting him at AEW Redemption on July 26, Knight believes his days as TNT Champion could soon be coming to an end.
Speaking to SB Nation ahead of AEW Redemption, Knight admitted that if he defeats Omega to become AEW World Champion this weekend, he may choose to relinquish the TNT Championship.
“If all goes to plan, Jet two belts becomes a reality this upcoming Sunday, and I don’t see myself relinquishing it for anybody, that comes my way. I think I will let up and maybe relinquish the TNT title or, you know let the other people have a little bit of fun, don’t wanna take up all the time at AEW, but AEW is gonna be set up in the next 6 months if The Jet is on top”

Knight has already enjoyed tremendous success in his relatively short time with AEW. Alongside Speedball Mike Bailey, he captured the AEW World Trios Championship before winning the vacant TNT Championship in a 10-man gauntlet match at AEW Dynasty on April 12, 2026.
Knight’s showdown with Omega at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is unquestionably the biggest match of his career to date and reflects the confidence All Elite Wrestling have placed in the rising star. Should Knight leave Montreal as AEW World Champion, he would be set for a blockbuster title defence against Will Ospreay at AEW All In: London at Wembley Stadium on August 30.
