Wheeler Yuta has reportedly been dealing with concussion.

The Blackpool Combat Club are a pivotal part of All Elite Wrestling, but, as of late, they have been without Wheeler Yuta. The 27-year-old has been away from the ring since the January 10 edition of AEW Rampage, when he unsuccessfully challenged Eddie Kingston for the Continental Crown, and there has now been an update on his absence.

On Yuta’s status, Fightful Select are reporting that he has been dealing with concussion symptoms for the last few months, with there currently being no date for his return.

“Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is told that Yuta has been dealing with concussion symptoms for months. As of now we haven’t learned a timetable for his potential return. When we last asked about Yuta in March, the hope was that the injury would not sideline him long. However, that hasn’t been the case.”

Yuta remains the ROH Pure Champion, and has been since November 25 of last year, but he hasn’t been able to defend it since January 3. Despite the BCC member’s return date being unknown, there is no indication that his reign will have to come to an end any time soon.

With concussion not being anything to take lightly, we wish Wheeler Yuta well and hope to see him make his in-ring return as soon as it is safe for him to do so.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Wheeler Yuta’s injury status as soon as we hear more.
