Ahead of a Mask vs Career Match on the upcoming October 7 edition of AEW Rampage vs 10 of the Dark Order, Andrade El Idolo has revealed how he feels regarding his time in AEW so far.

Rumours have been swirling for weeks regarding Andrade’s future in AEW including him adding to the fire with some cryptic tweets. He isn’t the only star to have tested the waters in terms of an AEW exit, as the future’s of both Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews are still unclear. Though, it isn’t that Andrade is unhappy with the contractual side of things, but more that he was expecting more from his time in the company, particularly since RUSH joined him and they formed a stable.

Speaking with Más Lucha, Andrade has opened up about all aspects of his AEW career. He was positive about the amount of dates he was working but suggests he’s unsatisfied with how his run has panned out on-screen.

“Right now I feel a little stagnant. I feel like I want more. I feel like although I have a good contract, the schedule is good. I like the schedule because WWE was inhuman, it was quite a lot. People cannot imagine, they think because he is fighting on TV, it is the only time he fights. There are non-televised matches in other cities, other countries. Right now it’s difficult because I want more. I feel like I want more now that Rush is back. It’s the pressure that we want more,”

It could be said that Andrade has been lost in the shuffle during his time in AEW. The upcoming match on Friday leans into the possibility that it could be the end for him in the company and this has understandably intrigued fans. Whether he stays or goes remains to be seen but Andrade will certainly be pushing for more should he remain with Tony Khan’s company.
