Bobby Fish could be on his way out of AEW, according to a new report that the former NXT star’s contract winding down and a renewal is unlikely.
Bobby Fish made a surprise debut in the company when he answered Sammy Guevara’s open challenge for the TNT Championship. He worked singles matches with the likes of Bryan Danielson and CM Punk before reuniting with NXT stablemates Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole. His last televised appearance came on Dynamite when the Undisputed Elite split up after the former NXT trio betrayed the Young Bucks. O’Reilly and Cole sustained injuries and thus the angle has been off TV since.
According to Fightful Select, Bobby Fish’s contract is coming up and his likely finishing with AEW:
“Fish has been missing from AEW programming in recent weeks, and the reason for that is now clear. We’re told that Fish’s contract is coming up, and he will likely be finishing with the company when it does, with the deal not being renewed.”

Fish recently talked about being willing to go to war for Triple H, the new head of creative in WWE. Considering the fact that the likes of Karrion Kross, Dexter Lumis, Dakota Kai and Johnny Gargano have returned under the new regime, a return for Fish could be in the makings too.
