The past few weeks have seen a number of reports emerging detailing backstage unrest behind the scenes in AEW, with one particular story revealing that Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara got into an altercation following some harsh words by the ‘Spanish God’, leading to Kingston receiving a suspension.

Since the reports emerged, both men have acknowledged the incident on their respective twitter accounts, and PWInsider are now reporting that the two AEW stars have seemingly buried the hatchet ahead of tonight’s edition Dynamite taping in Chicago.

“PWInsider.com has been told by multiple sources that Kingston and Sammy Guevara sought each other out backstage at the taping and spoke, apologizing to the other for what went down several weeks ago.  We are told that at the end of the discussion, the pair shook hands and agreed that the issues were in the past and everyone was moving on.”

Before the reports emerged, the pair were seemingly on a collision course for this Sunday’s All Out PPV, however these plans have now been scrapped. Kingston has instead been announced for the All Out Zero Hour, with NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii set to return to AEW as the Mad King’s adversary.

Whether the Kingston and Guevara rivalry is something AEW will revisit at a later date remains to be seen, although we’re certainly glad the two have seemingly been able to move past the situation.
