During last weekend’s Money in the Bank premium live event, Bobby Lashley defeated Theory to recapture the US Championship. Later in the night, Theory was revealed by Adam Pearce to be the final entrant into the men’s MITB ladder match, which he ultimately won.
During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Lashley revealed that he expects Theory to be a top WWE star for years to come. Additionally, Lashley also predicts that Theory will become a multiple time world champion during his WWE career, noting that the young star could challenge the likes of John Cena and Ric Flair for the title of most accomplished top star.
“Man, By the time he’s my age, he’s going to be on a stack of money as high as this building. He’s gonna be a super-duper star. 23 years old, that kid has everything in his future. I can see him being a multiple-time world champion. He’s gonna be going after Cena’s record, he’s gonna be after Ric Flair’s record. He’s going to be setting some records that you would never, never imagine. The kid is extremely talented.”

Lashley’s prediction may begin to take shape sooner rather than later, as Theory’s possession of the MITB briefcase now means that he is able to challenge for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at any time of his choosing.
Theory and Lashley are set to collide yet again over the US Championship at SummerSlam on July 30th, whilst Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar look set to main event the show in a Last Man Standing match. Regardless of how Theory’s US Championship rematch pans out, the young star may see another opportunity arise later that night.
