Brock Lesnar’s planned return time frame has now been revealed.
This past Saturday at WWE’s SummerSlam premium live event in Detroit, Michigan, saw Cody Rhodes defeat Brock Lesnar to end their trilogy, with the post-match scenes seeing Lesnar and Rhodes shake hands, seemingly pointing towards a babyface turn for the former multi-time world champion.
Reports emerged shortly after the event that Lesnar may have finished up with WWE for the remainder of the year, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on the situation, revealing that the company are planning on bringing Lesnar back to TV ahead of the Royal Rumble in January of next year.
“Lesnar, who was injured early in the match where he put over Cody Rhodes, was at one point advertised for stuff later this year. As of right now, he put Rhodes over clean, shook his hand, turned himself back babyface in doing so, and the plan is for him to return on the television building up the Royal Rumble and from there going to WrestleMania. Although I could see him returning for the November Saudi Arabia show even if today that isn’t the plan, or if there is an injury, he’s always there if they need a program.”

Outside of his trilogy with Rhodes, Lesnar competed in three matches earlier this year, with ‘The Beast Incarnate’ coming up short in the Royal Rumble to Rhodes, as well as losing by DQ to Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber, before defeating Omos at WrestleMania 39.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Brock Lesnar and his future plans as soon as we hear more.
