Brock Lesnar is reportedly still listed as active in WWE internally.

To open the second night of WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi shocked fans by defeating Brock Lesnar in under five minutes. After the match, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ left his boots and gloves in the ring, leaving many fans with the impression he was signalling his retirement from wrestling. However, questions still remain over Lesnar’s status with WWE, and the latest update indicates that the star may not be done with the industry after all.

According to PWInsider Elite, Brock Lesnar is still listed as an active performer by WWE.

While he has been moved to the Alumni section of the WWE website, PWInsiderElite.com is told Brock Lesnar remains listed as an active performer internally by WWE. We are told Lesnar remains listed as a “Free Agent” internally and is not assigned to a specific brand.

While it looked as if the 48-year-old had retired, a number of fans picked up on the fact that neither WWE nor Lesnar officially announced a retirement following WrestleMania. Still, ‘The Beast’ hasn’t appeared on-screen since his loss to Oba Femi, leaving room for further speculation over whether or not we’ll see him compete again.

Should he remain active, it’s likely a return for Lesnar would coincide with SummerSlam emanating from his hometown of Minneapolis later this year. If this is the case, many are hoping the former WWE Champion will come face to face with ‘The Ring General’ GUNTHER before the curtain truly falls on his career. For now, though, whether that happens remains to be seen.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Brock Lesnar’s WWE future as soon as we hear more.
