Bryan Alvarez Discusses Key Issue That Led To Scary Tiffany Stratton Moment At Money In The Bank

The Tiffany Stratton fall at the Money In The Bank event last night is still on many people’s minds.

During the last night’s Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match,, Tiffany Stratton went up a ladder to do a swanton-style move on her fellow competitors. However, the move didn’t go as planned, and she fell flat onto the mats, with her head hitting particularly hard. With the move sticking in the minds of many fans through the rest of the match and beyond, those watching around the world have been awaiting more on what specifically went wrong. To that end, Bryan Alvarez has given his take on how Tiffany found herself in trouble.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez went through what went wrong.

“They set the ladder up like this [sideways], and instead of jumping the direction of the legs so the ladder doesn’t move, she jumped off the side. That’s how Charly Manson almost killed himself. That’s how multiple people… cause you can’t jump off the side, because as soon as you jump, the ladder flies this way, and she just went straight down. No one could have caught her because they were expecting her to go out, but you can’t go out when you jump off that side. She in the post-show pretty much admitted, ‘I’m still not good.’”

Both Alvarez and Dave Meltzer noted that there was also a lack of doctors ringside after the moment, with the only checking of Stratton being the refs asking if she was okay, with Dave noting she likely said yes because “that’s what you’re supposed to do”. Of course, unless they were willing to call an audible, Stratton had to get back up because she would planned to go on to win the match.

Hopefully, Tiffany Stratton is given some time to heal before she uses her Money in the Bank contract for a title match, which she now has a year to cash in. Her win now sees her as the second woman to win the briefcase twice, only second to Carmella who had to repeat the process just days after winning the first Women’s Money in the Bank in 2017 following James Ellsworth’s controversial assist.
