Bryan Danielson has discussed his position when it comes to AEW creative.
Two weeks ago, it was reported by Fightful Select that Bryan Danielson was set for a role contributing to creative plans for AEW’s new Saturday show ‘Collision’ and these reports were confirmed by Tony Khan during a media event before the show.
As of now, it’s not completely clear just how much influence The American Dragon will have over Collision’s creative plans, though, during the AEW Double or Nothing media scrum, Danielson confirmed that he has regularly spoken to Khan in the past about ideas. Bryan went on to explain that he finds it easy to discuss wrestling with Tony as the two riff off each other well.
“I love working with Tony and I love working in AEW. It’s a lot of fun because, sometimes, before I even got here, Tony and I would talk on the phone sometimes for an hour and a half to two hours and we’d just be talking about things and wrestling and that sort of thing. I think we have similar ideas on wrestling, and sometimes he says things to me and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, that’s a great idea,’ and we riff off each other really well. When we do it, it doesn’t feel like work. When you love wrestling, stuff like that is fun,”

On top of having a say in the direction of AEW Collision, Bryan remains one of the top in-ring talents on the company’s roster. Most recently, his stood alongside his Blackpool Combat Club stablemates to defeat The Elite during Anarchy In The Arena.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any updates on Bryan Danielson’s role when it comes to AEW Collision’s creative plans as we hear more.
